Early Years Foundation Stage

At Good Will Children Private School, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that equips our students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s diverse and dynamic world while honoring our cultural heritage. Our carefully designed curriculum incorporates international and national elements to cater to the unique needs of our community.

The subjects offered via the curricula for KG1/FS2 are:

MOE: Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, Moral Studies

Early Years Foundation Stage: English, Mathematics, Sciences, Digital Literacy, Coding, Art &Design, and Physical Education

Other programs: Urdu lessons, Well-being, Sustainability, Environmental Awareness, Community Service, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills

Overview of the Ministry of Education (MOE) Curriculum

The MOE curriculum is built on the foundation of the UAE’s cultural heritage, Islamic values, and national identity. It emphasizes preserving the UAE’s traditions while embracing global knowledge and advancements. The curriculum promotes key values such as respect, tolerance, and patriotism, fostering a sense of unity and community among students. The subjects offered are Islamic, Moral Education and Social Studies offered in Good Will Children Private School in both English and Arabic alongside options for first-language or second-language speakers.

Overview of the Early Year Foundation Stage Curriculum

Our early education program follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework of England applied for children aged 4 to 5, which contains seven key areas of learning. We nurture young learners’ cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning and interactive activities. Our curriculum focuses on fostering skills in the following areas:

1. Communication and Language: Developing speaking and listening skills and encouraging effective communication.
2. Physical Development: Enhancing fine and gross motor skills, promoting physical well-being, and encouraging active play.
3. Personal, Social, and Emotional Development: Building self-confidence, encouraging positive relationships, and promoting emotional resilience.
4. Literacy: Nurturing a love for reading and writing and developing early literacy skills.
5. Mathematics: Fostering mathematical understanding and problem-solving abilities.
6. Understanding the World: Encouraging curiosity and exploration of the environment, people, and communities.
7. Expressive Arts and Design: Nurturing creativity through arts, music, and imaginative play.

Language Focus Lessons

With a dedicated focus on language enrichment, fostering a deep appreciation for cultural heritage and linguistic diversity, we take pride in providing:

• Quran Recitation
• Arabic lessons with activities for native and non-native speakers
• Optional Urdu lessons
